Hola, I’m Adriana (Adry) V. Sanders, LPC-S

Why Work With Me
Working with me means entering a space where your story is understood within the context of culture, family dynamics, and the roles you may have carried for much of your life. As a Mexican American and bilingual therapist, I understand the complexity of honoring family expectations while trying to find your own voice. Growing up as an eldest daughter in a Mexican household in Texas, I lived in the in-between—holding deep respect for my roots while learning how to carve out space to become fully myself. That lived experience, along with my leadership training at Texas Christian University, shapes the way I show up in the therapy room: with warmth, cultural humility, evidence-based insight, and deep respect for the complexity of your story.
Many of the individuals I work with are high-achieving adult children of immigrants or people raised by emotionally immature parents. They are leaders, trailblazers, perfectionists, caretakers—the ones others rely on. Outwardly successful, yet privately exhausted trying to hold it all together while navigating the emotional residue of generational trauma and unspoken expectations.
At SanaMente Wellness, our work goes beyond coping strategies. Together we explore how past experiences shaped the survival patterns that once protected you but may now be keeping you stuck.
In our work together, we will:
Untangle generational and relational trauma
Strengthen self-trust and emotional resilience
Release the burden of people-pleasing and perfectionism
Build boundaries that honor your values and identity
My hope for you is to live more authentically in your relationships, career, and sense of self. You deserve a space where you don’t have to perform, prove, or carry everything alone.
You’re seen here. Your story matters. And healing is possible.
BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM
Healing requires balance, and I model that in my own life: continuously learning, exploring, disconnecting, and recharging in meaningful ways. Whether through travel, quiet nature walks, or shared laughter with my husband and dogs—I'm committed to healing rooted in real-life experience and joy. I encourage professional adults to cultivate hobbies outside the office—reminding us of the beautiful, expansive world waiting to be discovered.
Trauma lives in the body—and so does healing.
Ready to begin healing in a way that honors who you are and where you come from?
