Why Work With Me

As a proud Mexican American and bilingual therapist, I intimately understand the push to honor family expectations, juggle multiple identities, and still yearn to belong somewhere fully. Growing up as an eldest daughter in a Mexican household in Texas, I lived in the in-between — honoring my roots while carving out space to grow into my own voice. That lived experience, along with my leadership training at Texas Christian University (TCU), shaped the way I show up as a therapist: with warmth, cultural humility, evidence-based insight, and deep respect for the complexity of your story.

I provide online therapy across Texas for high-achieving adult children of immigrants and individuals raised by emotionally immature parents. Many of the clients I work with are leaders, perfectionists, caretakers, “the strong one”, “fixer”— outwardly successful but privately exhausted — trying to hold it all together while navigating the emotional residue of generational trauma and unspoken expectations.

In our work together, we’ll untangle generational trauma, build & strengthen inner trust, and release the burden of people-pleasing and performance. You’ll learn to lead your life from a place of alignment, not anxiety. My hope for you is to live more authentically in your relationships, career, and sense of self—you’re seen here, and your story matters.

My approach integrates:
DBT for emotional balance and distress tolerance
Attachment-focused and Polyvagal techniques to support relational and nervous system healing
IFS (Internal Family Systems) to help all parts of you feel seen, safe, and understood

Expect real talk, cultural nuance, deep insight, and space for both tears and laughter. Together, we’ll co-create a space where you can finally breathe, feel, and come home to yourself.

  • Strategies to help you regulate emotions, stay grounded, and navigate distress with greater ease.

  • Strengthen your relationship with yourself and others through safety, self-trust, and connection.

  • Restorative practices to help calm your nervous system and restore a sense of inner safety and resilience that supports deep, body-based healing.

  • Explore and heal the protective and wounded parts of you—so you can lead your life from a grounded, compassionate Self.

BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM

Healing requires balance, and I model that in my own life: continuously learning, exploring, disconnecting, and recharging in meaningful ways. Whether through travel, quiet nature walks, or shared laughter with my husband and dogs—I'm committed to healing rooted in real-life experience and joy. I encourage professional adults to cultivate hobbies outside the office—reminding us of the beautiful, expansive world waiting to be discovered.

Trauma lives in the body—and so does healing.
